How Does Kasheesh Calculate and Manage Your Daily Spending Limit?

Edited

At Kasheesh, we prioritize both flexibility for our customers and the security of their finances. Here's how we calculate and manage your daily spending limit:

Standard Linked Card Limits

  • You can link up to 5 of your credit/debit cards to your Kasheesh account.

  • Each linked card has a default daily spending limit of $3,000 when not connected through Plaid.

  • This structure is set by our issuing bank to ensure the safety of our customers, prevent overspending, and mitigate potential suspicious activities.

Plaid-Connected Accounts

When you connect your cards through Plaid:

  • The individual $3,000 daily limits on each card are removed.

  • Your spending limit is based on the actual available credit limit of each connected card, as reported by Plaid.

  • However, we maintain an overall daily spending limit of $15,000 across all cards as an additional safety measure.

Calculation Method

  1. For Plaid-connected cards: We use the available credit limit data provided by Plaid.

  2. For cards not linked through Plaid: We apply the default $3,000 daily limit.

  3. We sum up these limits across all your linked cards to determine your total available spending limit.

Important Notes

  • When cards are not linked through Plaid, we cannot access real-time data from your card provider. We apply the default $3,000 daily limit.

  • The overall $15,000 daily spending limit applies regardless of how your cards are connected, as an extra layer of protection for our customers.
